I love the feeling of slowly unlocking permanent upgrades.
Procedural generation is great but needs hand-crafted rooms too.
Risk of Rain 2 proved 3D roguelikes can work amazingly well.
The replayability is what keeps me coming back – every run feels different.

I get burned out when runs take over an hour. Give me 20-30 minute runs.
Dead Cells has the tightest combat of any roguelike I've played.
